About Us
Communities are being torn apart by the overconsumption of the world’s resources and the climate crisis. As Christians, we have a biblical mandate to care for God’s creation – which includes protecting it.
There are so many incredible people around the world who are already mobilising their churches and communities to take action.
But speaking out and taking action can come at a cost. Burnout. Isolation. Loneliness. Disillusionment. This is where the Oikos Network can help.
What we do
Oikos connects people from around the world who are already or want to start mobilising their churches and communities to take action on environmental care.
We create online communities to restore, reinvigorate and reinspire Christian climate activists. Group members will have opportunities to learn from each other and overcome problems together.
We want to see people around the world built up emotionally and spiritually, and equipped to keep playing their vital role in speaking up and taking action to care for people and the environment.
Who we are
The Oikos Network is a collaboration with A Rocha International, the Anglican Alliance, the Lausanne/World Evangelical Alliance Creation Care Network, Micah Global and Renew Our World.
A Rocha International is a global family of Christian organisations which, inspired by God’s love, engages in scientific research, environmental education and community-based conservation projects in more than 20 countries and across six continents.
The Anglican Alliance brings together those in the Anglican family of churches and agencies to work for a world free of poverty, inequality and injustice. It seeks to raise the voices of the vulnerable, to reconcile those in conflict and to safeguard the earth
The Lausanne/World Evangelical Alliance Creation Care Network exists to empower Christians and churches all over the globe to take action on creation care.
Renew Our World is a global movement of Christians taking action and praying for a fairer world.
